I had the outstanding opportunity to collaborate with the folks at FrozenCPU and EK Water Blocks on this design. This particular block design was created to be a limited edition accessory that would be available for purchase from FrozenCPU along with Red Harbinger’s Cross Desk. The block itself is EK’s popular Supremacy model, plated in gold (along with the thumbscrews) with the Red Harbinger logo milled into the top of the block. Since only 51 of these were created, we also decided to engrave each successive number of the block into the face.
Shown are concept renders of a couple of the designs that we toyed around with, as well as block 23, which was installed by our friend Jens Pulver during shooting of The Vanilla Ice Project. This was the first time that Jens had ever installed a CPU block – he was understandably excited about the process. 🙂
